There is a Thomas Percy who served in the 3rd Battalion, Australian Mounted Horse, in the Boer War. Clutching at straws to say he is a family member (however, he was from NSW):

Thomas Alfred Percy was James Beasley Percy's son, but he was born too late to serve in the Boer War. It was probably the Thomas E Percy from Braidwood (don't know who this is).
